AAP to probe audio clip
Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday formed a three-member committee to probe an alleged audio clip of conversation between two AAP leaders, who are reportedly discussing how Sukhpal Khaira and his group can be weakened. As the audio recording between Garry Birring, state organisation building head, and Sumit Yadav, a leader from Delhi, threatens a fresh rift within the party, especially Delhi vs Punjab unit, state co-convener Dr Balbir Singh said the tape needed to be probed before taking further action. The committee members are MLA Harpal Cheema, advocate Jastej Singh and state disciplinary panel head Inderbir.Kharar MLA Kanwar Sandhu has denied claims made in the audio. In a Facebook post from Canada, he said the Punjab unit never wanted to divide the party. “We have also aspired for the rights of the punjab unit,” he said. He has condemned the alleged conspiracy to weaken the party.
