ANNUAL CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING 

WHAT: The annual Christmas Tree Lighting event officially kicks off the Christmas season in

Brampton by illuminating a 60-foot spruce tree with more than 15,000 sparkling lights. It

provides a great opportunity to mingle with the community, enjoy winter lights and fun

activities, all while preparing for the festive season ahead.

 

WHEN: Friday, November 18

6 – 8 pm (lighting of tree at 6:30 pm)

 

WHERE: Ken Whillans Square ∙ Tree Lighting

Gage Park ∙ TD Kids Zone

–          Extended Road Closures from 3 – 9 pm

–          Queen Street – George Street to Chapel Street

–          Wellington Street West – George Street South to Main Street South

–          Main Street South – southbound lanes – Queen Street to Wellington Street*

–          Main Street North – northbound lanes – Queen Street to Nelson Street**

–          *Main Street South – northbound lanes from Queen Street to Wellington Street will be converted to two-way traffic

–          **Main Street North – southbound lanes from Nelson to Queen Street will be converted to two-way traffic
