BJP working president Nadda accorded ‘Z’ security cover

New Delhi: The government has decided to accord “Z” category security cover to BJP working president JP Nadda following a review undertaken by the security and intelligence agencies. The move is also indicative of Nadda’s enhanced political stature within the party. Now Nadda will be guarded by commandos of the CRPF round-the-clock, including his residence here, officials in the Ministry of Home Affairs said. The MHA took the decision while taking into consideration the increased threat perception to Nadda, they said, adding the new security architecture around him would be on all-India basis.

The deadlock between the state and the agitating employees continues with the strike entering the sixth day.

The SJM will submit a memorandum to PM Narendra Modi through the District Magistrate in each district, said Ashwani Mahajan of the SJM in a statement, calling upon all affiliated and like-minded organisations and individuals to join the protest.
