Brampton: 2 Dead in Early-Morning Stabbing 

Two people are dead after an early-morning stabbing in Brampton. Emergency crews were called to a home on Josephine Court in the area of Williams Parkway and Bramalea Road around 5:45 a.m. Friday. When officers arrived at the scene they found two people suffering from severe stab wounds. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene. The second person was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries but died a short time later. Peel police say the stabbing is connected to a body found on Highway 410 at Williams Parkway around 6 a.m.“We can confirm that this is related and at this particular point our homicide and missing persons bureau has taken carriage of this investigation and we are considering this our 13th and 14th homicide of 2019,” Const. Heather Cannon said.“At this particular point we aren’t looking for any suspects as well as there’s no concern for public safety.”Cannon said police won’t be releasing the identity of the victims at this time.Provincial police are looking to speak with any drivers of dump truck style vehicles that were in the area of the highway between the hours of 5:40 a.m. and 6 a.m. Several road closures are in effect while police investigate. The southbound 410 is shut down from Bovaird Drive to Queen Street, the eastbound lanes of Williams Parkway are closed at Rutherford and the southbound ramp from Bovaird to Highway 410 is also closed. There has been no word on how long the closures will last
