Brooke Bond Taj Mahal Will Celebrate Diwali with a Mega Festival Of Lights Show on November 10, Heralded by exciting Pre-Diwali Events
As the cooler days of fall set in, South Asians around the GTA are already getting ready for one of their biggest festivals – Diwali. Brooke Bond Taj Mahal tea will join in the celebrations with a mega ‘Diwali Festival of Lights’ show on November 10, at the popular Living Arts Centre in Mississauga. This show is FREE for all, and the audience will be entertained by new-age nightingale Jonita Gandhi and the ‘Prince of Bhangra’ Sukhbir Singh, who are being specially flown down for the event. Celebrants will also be regaled by dholis, dancers, DJ performance, free jelabis and Taj Mahal tea, and a spectacular laser- fireworks display.
Brooke Bond Taj Mahal has also organized 3 smaller events to start the celebrations early, leading up to mega ‘Diwali Festival of Lights’ show.
Free Rickshaw Rides: On Friday October 5, 2018, Union Station will be center stage for 8 lit-up, bedecked Diwali rickshaws pulled by men in traditional attire. The rides are Free for all, and will run from 4pm to 8pm.
Diwali Surprise at Square One Mall: On Friday October 19, 2018, there will be a live music and dance surprise performance at Square One Mall, Mississauga from 7pm to 7.30pm.
Festival of Lights Truck: On Friday October 26, 2018, Tah Mahal tea’s decorated, lit-up truck, will travel from Brampton Civic Centre to the Living Arts Center, Mississauga, making four stops for DJ and Diwali dancers to entertain passersby with Diwali and Bollywood music, from 5pm to 7pm.
