Canada Wide Arrest Warrant Issued for Shooting Incident
Region of Peel – Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have obtained a Canada Wide Arrest Warrant for a man in relation to a shooting that occurred in September, 2018.
On Saturday, September 22, 2018, at approximately 3:56 a.m., the suspect was at a party in a club located on Northwest Drive, Mississauga. A disturbance began on the dance floor when the suspect removed a handgun and discharged several rounds inside the club. The club was full of people at the time of the shooting but no one was struck by any bullets. The suspect fled the club after the shooting.
Investigators have identified the person responsible for the shooting and have issued a Canada Wide Arrest Warrant. Richard Chambers, a 31 year-old male from the Town of Innisfil is wanted for fourteen (14) separate firearm related charges.
Richard Chambers is described as male black, 5’11”, 175 lbs., black hair and brown eyes.
Investigators are encouraging him to seek legal counsel and turn himself in to the nearest police station.
He is considered a danger to the public and if located do not approach, call 911 immediately.
