Conservatives absent Brampton Focus debate 

Brampton/Sept. 22, 2015 – All five candidates of the Conservative Party from Brampton ridings were absent from a debate hosted by Brampton Focuson Friday. Naval Bajaj, Brampton East, Parm Gill, Brampton North, Bal Gosal, Brampton Centre, Kyle Seeback, Brampton South, and Ninder Thind, Brampton West  decided to stay away from the debate due to various reasons. The debate held at Loafer’s Lake Recreation Centre. Also absent were two Liberal candidates Kamal Khera, Brampton West and Sonia Sidhu, Brampton South.

Attended by approximately 150 people, the debate was moderated by Michael A. Charbon and a panel of four – Rick Drennan, managing editor of The Brampton Guardian, Sophia Brown Ramsay, program manager, Black Community Action Network,  Spider Jones,  former boxing champion and youth advocate and  Badar Shamin, chair-elect, Brampton Board of Trade.
