Crombie Shares Vision to Champion Business Growth in Mississauga
Crombie advocates for investments in infrastructure and transit to support Mississauga’s thriving business community
Mississauga, ON – At a community event hosted today, mayoral candidate Bonnie Crombie spoke about her plan to encourage business growth in Mississauga. Crombie, who received the support of long-serving incumbent Mayor Hazel McCallion earlier this week, addressed the need to decrease congestion in order to continue to build a robust, diversified and truly global economy.
“Gridlock is the number one challenge inhibiting economic growth in the GTA. Mississauga Moves will add new capacity through investments in public transit as well as better manage MiWay. Transit is changing is the GTA and, we must develop a 21st century transit system to keep our region’s strategic advantage. If you compare my platform with that of my opponent, you will see why Mayor Hazel is confident that my plan will invest in Mississauga’s future while holding a hard line on taxpayer’s dollars.”
The event was hosted by Sanjay Makkar, President of InSureU!, Satish Thakkar and Asha Luthra (former Presidents of Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce).Sanjay’s speech emphasized Bonnie’s energy and her track record of succeeding in business.
With only 10-days remaining in this tight race, Mississaugans will need to select a new leader who has the fiscal leadership and vision to move Mississauga forward.
