Ex-Pakistan envoy to US booked for ‘hate speeches’
Islamabad, Jan 22 (IANS) Pakistan’s former Ambassador to the US Hussain Haqqani has been booked for allegedly delivering hate speeches and writing books, articles against the country’s armed forces and the government.
Haqqani was named in FIRs lodged by three persons in two police stations in Kohat district of Pakistan’s Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province on Sunday, Dawn reported on Monday.
The three accused Haqqani of contributing to enemy propaganda while residing in the US, “which was threatening the peace of Pakistan”. They said he had caused “irreparable loss to the country and defamed it”.
