Free open Wi-Fi comes to City facilities
BRAMPTON, ON: Residents and visitors to Brampton can now enjoy free open internet access in most City recreation centres and corporate buildings.
Until now, users were required to obtain a temporary guest account and password to access the internet within City facilities.
Access to the internet is filtered to protect the security of the service. There will be no time limits; however, usage may be monitored.
The Sheridan College campus network will also be accessible at the same City facilities, extending the availability of Sheridan resources to students and staff. The operation of this service is provided in partnership with Sheridan College.
“Free open Wi-Fi supports our diverse community in Brampton, enabling everyone to enjoy our public spaces,” says Mayor Susan Fennell. “It supports our commitment to developing worldclass infrastructure and services.”
