Hamilton Police Investigating Three Shooting Incidents In A Span Of 80 Minutes

On Monday June 27, 2022, at approximately 10:30p.m., the Hamilton Police responded to a shooting just occurred in the area of Mohawk Rd W. and Magnolia Dr.  Police responded to an short term rental location and can confirm that one of the occupant negligently discharged a firearm within the residence causing minor damage. The suspect is described as Male white, 5’ 9”, and average build in his 30’s.  No one sustained any injuries in relation to this incident.

At approximately 10:40p.m., the Hamilton Police responded to a second shooting just occurred in the area of Main St E and Holton Ave S. Police can confirm a shooting incident occurred and one person was transported to hospital for non life threatening injuries. Suspect fled the area prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as Male black, 5’10”, short dreadlocks, wearing blue track suit and white sneakers.

At approximately 11:50p.m., the Hamilton Police responded to a third shooting just occurred in the area of Douglas Ave and Mars Ave.  Officer attended the location and can confirm multiple shots were fired into a residence. No one sustained any injuries in relation to this incident. The Hamilton Police are asking residents in the area to review their security surveillance cameras between the hours of 11:15pm to midnight for any suspicious activity and to contact police. Detectives are also asking if you were driving in the area and have dash camera footage that would be suitable for review please contact the investigators.

Division One Criminal Investigation Branch is in charge of the Main /Holton and Douglas/Mars Ave shooting investigations and Division Three Criminal Investigation Branch has taken over the Mohawk/Magnolia investigation
