Harb Kahlon’s fundraiser draws huge crowd
Brampton/Sept 22, 2015 – NDP candidate from Brampton East Harbaljit Singh Kahlon’s fundraising event on last Sunday got a huge response from his supporters and various community organizations. A crowd of more than 1000 people packed into the Shingar Banquet Hall on Steels Avenue East.
Attendees were welcomed by Gugni Gill Panaich, the MC for the night. Key note address for event was delivered by James E. Lockyer, the criminal defense lawyer known as Canada’s champion for the wrongly convicted.
Community support for Kahlon was on full display with an address by Dr. Fiaz of the United Community Services, Ontario NDP Deputy Leader Jagmeet Singh and School Board Trustee Harkirat Singh also addressing the crowd during the evening’s programme. Kahlon, full of optimism and gratitude, thanked the attendees and his team for their endless support and continued efforts.
“I’m passionate about the determination and commitment I see from the people in this riding; hardworking, middle-class families that are striving to create a better today while securing a prosperous tomorrow for future generations,” said Kahlon. “I can’t thank everyone enough for all of the hard work and dedication that has been put into this campaign.”
