HOWA calls for school strike on Oct1
Canadian Family Alliance has appealed to the Ontario families not to send their children to schools on October 1, in a symbolic action of protest against new sex-education curriculum. The alliance is demanding to repeal the recent changes made in Ontario’s sex-education curriculum.
HOWA, a local community group in Brampton, has announced to join the campaign and given a call to the families to join the strike. Jotvinder Singh Sodhi, a spokesperson of the organization, said that new changes in the curriculum were implemented without proper consultation with families. “ Parents do believe that their children need sex education, but the current curriculum has many things that families don’t agree with and this curriculum has been forced upon us bypassing a proper consultation process”, said Jotvinder Singh Sodhi.
