Indian-American tech executive kidnapped and killed in California
Indian-American tech executive Tushar Atre, 50, was kidnapped from his California home at 3 am, on October 1. His body was found in a car as the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office revealed. Founder of the web marketing and design company AtreNet, Atre was reportedly kidnapped by more than one person. The police has informed that he was last seen getting into a white 2008 BMW SUV that belongs to his girlfriend.
Police said an investigation has been launched but they “have reason to believe the motive was robbery.” The tech founded AtreNet in 1996. He also reportedly ran a cannabis manufacturing firm, Interstitial Systems.
