Kohli criticised for telling fan to leave country if he doesn’t like Indian batsmen

Chandigarh, November 7

Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli found himself in a spot on Friday after a video on social media during the launch of his app saw him criticising a fan who said he preferred watching English and Australian batsmen instead of Indians.

Kohli was recording a session for his official app and while scrolling through his social media feed, came across a comment in which a certain user is criticising Kohli and calling him overrated while admiring the Australian and English batsmen. “Overrated batsman and personally I see nothing special in his batting. I enjoy watching English and Australian batsmen more than these Indians,” Kohli read out the tweet.Kohli, in turn, took a dig at a fan and said, “Okay, I don’t think you should live in India then… you should go and live somewhere else no. Why are you living in our country and loving other countries? I don’t mind you not liking me but I don’t think you should live in our country and like other things. Get your priorities right.”
