Linda Jeffrey Officially Launches Mayoral Campaign
BRAMPTON – Joined by hundreds of supporters, the incumbent mayor of Brampton, Linda Jeffrey officially launched her re-election campaign.
Scott Fox, famously known from z103.5 and local high-profile Bramptonians, Raman Kaur Grewal, Terry Miller and Filiz Ozmisir took the stage to talk about why they’ve chosen to endorse Linda Jeffrey as the right candidate to lead Brampton once again. All five Brampton MPs came out to rally behind Linda as well – a testament to Jeffrey’s claim that she is the only candidate that can build strong relationships with all levels of government.
“I have a proven track record of delivering results for the residents of Brampton. With your support I kept my promises that resulted in a more accountable, open and transparent City Hall and more,” Jeffrey said in her speech to supporters. “I landed Ryerson University that will be an anchor for the jobs of the future. In a Board of Trade debate my opponents criticized Ryerson University suggesting they weren’t building a real campus – that’s like saying the Mississauga Erindale Campus is not really part of the University of Toronto. It’s easy to be an armchair quarterback when all the heavy lifting is done.
Over the last four years – with your help – we achieved a lot but there is still more work to do. The progress we’ve achieved was hard won – it wasn’t easy and there was a lot of resistance to change. I seek your support so that together we can do more for Brampton.”
