Manan Gupta Ward 7/8 Brampton Campaign in Full Swing 

Endorsements by Councillor Sandra Hames, MP Parm Gill and MPP Harinder Takhar

 Manan Gupta, City Councillor candidate from Wards 7/8 opened his campaign office on Saturday, September 20th at 1940 Steeles Avenue East in Brampton. Conveniently located at the intersection of Steeles & Bramalea, the office space will be useful for all volunteers and campaign team to work under one roof for an effective outreach.

The event was attended in large numbers of supporters and well wishers who offered full assistance towards a successful outcome of the election campaign. The campaign got a big boost with the presence and assurance of full support by Councillor Sandra Hames who is retiring after tirelessly serving the Brampton Ward 7/8 community for over 23 years. Sandra was joined by Hon. Parm Gill, MP and Hon’ Harinder Takhar, MPP who offered good wishes and all possible support for a successful campaign.

 

The campaign efforts were also strengthened by the presence of well known successful professionals and community leaders gracing the occasion. Many municipal candidates running for various positions in the local election were in attendance to extend support. These included Hargy Randhawa, Harkanwal Thind, Lawrence Manickam, Joe Tanti, Sunny Singh, Jeff Bowman and Jotvinder Sodhi.

Manan was also joined by his family members including parents Dr Vijay Gupta and Kavita Gupta, wife Puja Gupta, Vikas Gupta, Purnima Gupta, Minkle Mittal, Shelley Mittal, Satvik, Bhavya, Saksham, Pavit, Saanvi and Kaashvi offering much required in-house support.

Manan’s priorities for the municipal election include bringing back accountability, fiscal responsibility and transparency, optimal value for tax dollars, eliminating wasteful expenditure, improved transit with reduced gridlock (LRT, full day GO), effective goods movement strategies, boost economy with creation of local sustainable jobs, reducing poverty and homelessness,  establishment of University, better health care, managing all inclusive growth while raising the profile of Brampton to attract business investment nationally and internationally.

Municipal elections are scheduled for Monday, October 27th with advance voting to be held on October 11th, 14th, 15th, 16th and 18th.
