MP Sonia Sidhu Joins Liberal Caucus In Saguenay
Members of Parliament in the Liberal caucus came together for a few days of summer discussions and planning for the return of Parliament in September
BRAMPTON—From August 24th to 26th — Liberal Members of Parliament gathered in the Saguenay region of Québec in order to discuss the return of the Parliamentary session in September. Brampton South MP Sonia Sidhu joined her colleagues, and added her voice on important issues to her constituents.
“It was a pleasure to get to both meet up with all my Parliamentary colleagues to talk about what we’re hearing in our ridings, but moreover to explore a new region of Canada for me,” commented MP Sidhu. “We were so fortunate in the last election to garner the confidence of Canadians in many regions of Canada that we hadn’t in many years.”
MPs in the Liberal caucus also explored the region by doing regional site visits, taking in the beautiful scenery, and kayaking in the kinds of water that our environmental plan seeks to protect. Getting our members out across Canada is part of our approach of wanting to be the voice of Canadians in Ottawa, and not the voice of Ottawa in our communities.
“I’m proud to have brought the voice of Brampton to our summer caucus meeting, and I look forward to getting back to the work of pushing forward government legislation in the House of Commons on behalf of Canadians,” added MP Sidhu.
