NDP’s Harb Kahlon opens his campaign with ardaas
Brampton/September7, 2015 Business strategist turned politician and NDP candidate from Brampton East Harbaljit Singh Kahlon officially kicked off his campaign at his Ebenezer Rd office on Sunday. Cheered on by his young supporters Harbaljit Singh Kahlon was confident and enthusiastic, “What we are seeing today in Brampton is Jack Layton’s movement of love and hope. When I walk into our campaign office or go to meet Brampton families, I imagine how proud and excited Jack would be to see youth working so hard to make this country great”.
The opening event was also attended by fellow NDP candidates and other politicians including NDP’s Human Rights Critic Wayne Marston, Martin Singh, NDP candidate for Brampton North, Peel School Board Trustee Harkirat Singh and Brampton city councilor Gurpreet Singh Dhillon.
MBA from York University’s Schulich School of Business, Harbaljit has been part of MPP Jagmeet Singh’s team and was Jagmeet Singh’s campaign chair 2014.
“ People in our country are talking about change these days and Brampton East is ready for the change”, said Kahlon. “ No parent should have to choose between putting foot on the table and spending time with their children. NDP and I under the leadership of Tom Mulcaire, are determined to change this situation”, he continued.
