Ontario elects youngest ever MPP
Ontario –Nineteen-year-old Sam Oosterhoff, was elected from Niagara West-Glanbrook and became Ontario’s youngest MPP ever. Oosterhoff, a student at Brock University, won the byelection under the PC banner. After winning the elections, he said: “It is part of the path to building a Progressive Conservative majority government. I’m convinced we will see a blue wave sweep Ontario in 2018. We need to be reaching out to everyone. I think we need to be treating everyone with equal dignity and respect.” With 227 of 236 polls, Oosterhoff had 53.75 per cent of the vote.
