Premier Doug Ford joined Education Minister Stephen Lecce and Mississauga – Malton MPP, Deepak Anand, to meet with students, parents and school officials and view the site where construction is soon set to begin on a new sports field and track system at Lincoln M. Alexander Secondary School. The Ontario government has invested $1,360,181 to help build the new field, which comes as part of the province’s Strategic Priorities Infrastructure Fund (SPIF) – Sport and Community Renewal (SCR) sub-stream. The cost will support the supply and installation of artificial turf, game-line painting for multiple sports (soccer, football, rugby, cricket and lacrosse), perimeter fencing, lighting for day and evening games, bleachers, scoreboard, and a storage facility.
