Police Arrest Four Youths in Stabbing and Robbery Incident 

Region of Peel– Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested four males in a stabbing and robbery that occurred in Brampton.

On Wednesday February 28, 2018 at approximately 10:30 p.m. a 17 year-old male from Brampton and an 18 year-old male from Brampton were walking in the area of Sandalwood Parkway and Barr Crescent in the City of Brampton. Five males approached the two victims and demanded money and their property at which time both victims were assaulted. The 18 year-old victim was stabbed and the five males fled the area with money and property.

The 17 year-old victim walked into a local hospital where police were contacted. He was treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 18 year-old victim was rushed to a Toronto Trauma Centre due to the severity of his injuries and has since been released.

On Tuesday March 13, 2018 at approximately 7:00 p.m. the accused a 16 year-old male young offender from Brampton was arrested and charged with two counts of Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Carry Concealed Weapon, Breach of Recognizance and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. The accused was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the A. Grenville & William Davis Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Brampton on Wednesday March 14, 2018.

On Thursday March 22, 2018 at approximately 1:00 p.m. the accused a 16 year-old male young offender from Brampton was arrested and charged with two counts of Robbery, Aggravated Assault, two counts of Disguise with Intent, Weapons Dangerous, Breach of Undertaking and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. The accused was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the A. Grenville & William Davis Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Brampton on Friday March 23, 2018.

On Thursday March 22, 2018 at approximately 1:00 p.m. the accused a 16 year-old male young offender from Brampton was arrested and charged with two counts of Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Possession of Stolen Property Obtained by Crime, and two counts of Theft Under. The accused was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the A. Grenville & William Davis Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Brampton on Friday March 23, 2018.

On Friday March 23, 2018 at approximately 1:45 p.m. the accused a 16 year-old male young offender from Brampton was arrested and charged with two counts of Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Weapons Dangerous, and Possession of Stolen Property Obtained by Crime. The accused was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the A. Grenville & William Davis Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Brampton on Saturday March 24, 2018.

A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person and, therefore, the identity of the Young Person charged in this investigation is protected.
