Police Seized Three Firearms and Narcotics in Residential Search Warrant 

Region of Peel – Officers from the Vice, Narcotics, and Street Level Organized Crime Bureau have arrested and charged nine individuals from Brampton with firearms and drug related offences within the City of Brampton.

On Sunday, November 4, 2018, a search warrant was conducted on a Brampton residence. As a result of the search warrant, police located and seized a loaded .9mm caliber Glock 17 handgun, an unloaded .9mm caliber Glock 17 handgun, and a loaded .9mm caliber Jericho 941S handgun. In addition to the firearms, quantities of Crack Cocaine and Fentanyl were also seized.

Joshua Ansah, an 18 year-old male, was arrested and charged with 24 firearms offences and four counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

David Ansah, a 23 year-old male, was arrested and charged with 13 firearms offences and two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

Samuel Ansah, a 21 year-old male, was arrested and charged with 13 firearms offences and two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

Alexander Mills-Smith, a 20 year-old male, was arrested and charged with 14 firearms offences, two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Obstruct Peace Officer.

Emmanuel Amponsah, a 20 year-old male was arrested and charged with 13 firearms offences and two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and one count of Obstruct Peace Officer.

Georgina Owusu-Ansah, a 61 year-old female was arrested and charged with 13 firearms offences and  two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

Kwaku Ansah, a 61 year-old male was arrested and charged 13 firearms offences and  two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

David Osei Owusu, a 22 year-old male was arrested and charged 13 firearms offences and  two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

A 14 year-old male was arrested and charged with 13 firearms offences and two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person and, therefore, the identities of the Young Persons charged in this investigation are protected.

All parties appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice on November 5, 2018, for a bail hearing.
