Punjab to offer free religious tour
With eyes on coming assembly elections, Punjab government is rolling out a free religious tour program named as ‘ Mukh Mantri Tirath Darshan Yatra Scheme.
The program will be offered through special train and first such train will be flagged off from Amritsar to Nander , Maharashtra on January 1. Pilgrims will get free food, transportation, lodging and bording facilities for six days and all the expenses will be paid by the state government. Every train will carry more than 1,000 devotees. Such trains will also go to Varanasi and Ajmer Sharif. Special trains will leave from different places in the state covering all 117 vidhan sabha constituencies.
