Removed from IYC post, Warring lies low

Muktsar: Three months after being replaced as Indian Youth Congress (IYC) chief, MLA Amrinder Singh Raja Warring remains confined to his constituency, Gidderbaha.Except his last month’s visit to Ghanaur in Haryana to take part in a programme of the Youth Congress, he has not participated in any other political event outside his constituency in the last three months.Warring was among frontrunners for a cabinet berth in the recent expansion of council of ministers, but could not make it.At present, he holds public meetings at the canal rest house in Gidderbaha, visiting villages in the constituency to hear out villagers, who earlier complained that he was not giving adequate time to them.Talking to The Tribune, Warring said, “Now, I have enough time to devote to my health, family and constituency. I meet people in Gidderbaha twice a week to listen to their problems. I am also visiting villages to meet people, who had complained that I was not giving them enough time. Besides, I keep visiting Delhi as my children are studying there.”On being asked about his contesting the parliamentary polls, the Gidderbaha MLA said, “I am not interested to contest the parliamentary elections, but will abide by whatever decision the party takes”.“Now, I have been told to hold some conventions in Rajasthan for the upcoming state polls. Now, I am focusing only on Gidderbaha’s development,” Warring said
