On Saturday September 22nd , Ward 6 Councillor Ron Starr held a meet and greet to officially launch his re-election campaign for his third term. Over 100 supporters attended the event from Mississauga, including Mayor Bonnie Crombie, MPP Nina Tangri, MPP Sheref Sabawy, MPP Natalia Kusendova, and Councillor Sue McFadden. Councillor Starr addressed the crowd thanking them for their attendance and for all the help that he has received from volunteers and staff. He went on to discuss several of the issues he has identified as important to the residents of Mississauga: reducing gridlock, improving public transportation infrastructure, public safety and crime, and the affordability of housing. Council Starr emphasized that he would continue to work on these issues when re-elected. He concluded by stating “I will again work hard for you when re-elected…thank you for your support and don’t forget to vote Ron Starr on October 22nd”. Municipal elections will be held for the City of Mississauga on October 22nd, 2018.
