Stories of Home: Community Engagement
On now through early Fall
We are searching for local stories to feature in an upcoming exhibition about home and community in Peel. Whether you are new to the area, or your family has been here for generations – we want to hear from you!
“Nothing About Us, Without Us” is central to the mandate of PAMA, to ensure that the new exhibitions content is relevant and representative of the people living in Peel today. Throughout this summer and early fall, PAMA is asking you to share your stories of home to help shape our new core exhibitions opening in 2023.
Some responses from visitors so far:
“Home is where I am safe and free to be my most authentic self. Home is where love is.”
“Home is wherever my head falls, and peace and security took me in and awake me”
“Home is my favourite place, time with family and dear ones. Sharing memories and lots of laughter”
“Home is my mother, father & brother laughing and having fun”
“My home is my mom!”
“Home is a warm and loving environment – smell of baking & a roast dinner!”
“Home is a place where I can express myself freely”
“Home is love”
Spend some time with us virtually. Share your story now and receive a PAMA Prize Pack!
