SOUTH ASIAN COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES (SACHS) GRAND GALA EVENT
South Asian Community Health Services (SACHS) hosted their successful Grand Gala Event on Friday, September 19, 2014 at Milan Banquet Hall, Mississauga.
It was a sold out event thanks to all the South Asian Communities, Indo-Canadian Chamber of Commerce, William Osler Hospital Foundation, Canada Pakistan Business Council, Peel Children’s Aid Society, RBC Insurance and many other organizations and individuals who came out in large numbers and made the event a success. The gala was well attended with almost 300 guests.
It was star studded event with dignitaries who supported the South Asian Community Health Services (SACHS), Dr Maher Hussain, CEO, Nyna Petrov senior team member of SACHS, SACHS team members and volunteers.
The speakers endorsed the need to support organizations such as Asian Community Health Services (SACHS) to deal with the various health, community and social issues we face.

This event would not have been successful without the hard work and efforts of Abu Becker, President of Airbond Travel, Iqbal Ali, Board Member, Peel Children’s Aid Society, Havovi Bharda, Event Planner, Farohar Events, Dr.Maher Hussain, CEO, Nyna Petrov, senior team member, the team members and volunteers ofSouth Asian Community Health Services (SACHS) who helped to spread the awareness and educate the communities on the work done by SACHS.
It was a wonderful evening with lots of dignitaries, good speeches, excellent health information and health awareness for South Asian community, good music and entertainment, delicious food and lots of good door and raffle prizes. Most guests went home happy with many prizes. It was a good event filled with fun, food and entertainment.
The success of this event proves that Collaboration and Teamwork is a recipe to success.
South Asian Community Health Services (SACHS) is a registered not for profit charity organization started in 2010, provides services such as Health Education, Health Promotion, Mental Health, Addiction, Stress Management, Anger Management, Community Eye Care, Women’s Health Services, and related Social issues and Social and Recreational programs. SACHS provides programs for men, women, seniors and youth. The main goals for this fund raising event are to expand the current programs and services, to establish and run residential services for clients with mental health issues, clients recovering from alcohol/drug abuse, troubled youth, women and seniors and foster home for children. SACHS offers its services at its centre and also provides outreach services in the community. SACHS provides free services.
SACHS services are open to South Asians and also to all other communities. These services are provided in Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Tamil, Gujarati, Malayalam, Sindhi, Arabic, French and English. SACHS provides services to all South Asian population from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Nepal.

To promote and to help all communities in achieving and maintaining good physical, mental and social health and well being through health education, health promotion and other health related and social programs.
REFERRALS: SACHS accepts referrals directly from clients, physicians, family doctors, hospitals, the legal system, lawyers, agencies and organizations.
