  1. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has left on China tour where he will not only visit various cities but hold meetings with the President and the Prime Minister. Whereas the main agenda would be trade, many are questioning if Trudeau will raise the issue of human rights with the Chinese government.
  2. Three Canadian have been charged with drug smuggling after Sydney police allegedly found 95kg of cocaine in the cabin luggage of their cruise. These drugs are valued at Australian dollars 31 million. Andre Tamine, 63, Isabelle Lagace, 28, and Melina Roberce, 22, were arrested over the weekend.

  22. Police successfully averted a clash between pro and anti-Kejriwal supporters in Dinanagar. Amandeep Singh Gill, a loyalist of Sucha Singh Chhotepur led a march of 200 supporters to the venue where Kejriwal’s followers were holding a meeting and raised slogans against them. The situation was defused after SSP Jasdeep Singh sent a police team to ensure that both groups remained separated by nearly 100 meters. 
  23. Harcharan Singh Bains, Akali Dal has said AAP should leave Punjab to Punjabis as they will never allow UP gangsters or their Haryana chieftain to rule over their state.  He said Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is drumming up a civil war among Punjabis and Sikhs and so he must stop.
  24. Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has said tug of war in AAP has exposed that its leadership is power hungry. He made this statement during a Sangat Darshan saying there is no hope of good work from AAP in the state and even Congress is anti-Punjab.

AA leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira going against party lines defended Sucha Singh Chhotepur saying there can be a conspiracy against him but dismissed Chhotepur’s claims that Kejriwal was anti-Sikh. He stressed AAP’s central leadership should allow Punjab’s unit to have a greater say in state affairs.
  26. AAP has said Sucha Singh Chhotepur has been axed from the party on the basis of proofs. An NRI has also alleged that Chhotepur asked him to pay IRs60 lakhs for party ticket, then it was agreed that IRs30 lakhs will be given. He said later three lakhs were given back to him but one lakh is still with him.
  27. Himmat Singh Shergill, head of AAP’s legal cell has said why was Chhotepur silent on making comments against Kejriwal till now? He said these baseless allegations have been made by Chhotepur when he was caught red-handed and was exposed.
  28. Congress has alleged that Sucha Singh Chhotepur has been ousted from AAP Punjab cadre as the party wishes to make Kejriwal its Chief Ministerial candidate in the state.
  29. BJP’s national vice-president, Prabhat Jha, has said his party would continue to contest on 23 seats in Punjab but might swap a few with Shiromani Akali Dal as both parties are very close.
