  1. Lisa Raitt, MP from Milton said yesterday she was running for the Conservative party’s leadership bid and is the 10th candidate to enter this race. She said: “We need a leader who will beat Trudeau in the next election who knows what Canada looks like from the bottom.” She said Canada needs someone like the country’s first prime minister, Sir John Macdonald and also admired the former prime minister Stephen Harper.
  2. Transport Minister Marc Garneau has said airline tickets will be cheaper. According to the new initiative private companies will be able to own 49% of an airline in Canada, up by the current 25%.
  3. Spying of journalists in Quebec by police is getting heated as six more reporters have come out and complained. Quebec Public Security Minister is launching an administrative inquiry in this matter.
  4. Treb has reported that GTA recorded 9,768 home sales in October 2016 that is up by 11.5% compared to October 2015. Also the average selling price for all home types was $762,975 that is up 21.1% over the same time period last year.
