  1. Canada’s health minister Jane Philpott has announced the new food guide overhaul and new labeling rules.
  2. The Canada-EU trade deal is in doldrums. But Belgium must agree to the Ceta deal otherwise Trudeau will cancel his trip to sign the free trade agreement.
  3. Walmart has announced that in 16 of its stores in Manitoba will not accept Visa as its fees are high. Walmart’s Canada spokesperson Alex Robertson has said it pays $100 million every year to Visa.
  4. The IMF head has said that Pakistan is out of economic crisis. The IMF head is visiting Pakistan for the first time. The organization has paid the last installment of $6.6 billion to Pakistan but said the country needs to take more steps to strengthen economy.
  5. Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said Pakistan is successfully tackling terror and economic challenges.
  6. PTI Chief Imran Khan has alleged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that he is isolating army which is a security risk and he might take army’s help to remove he ‘moto gang’. He alleged that Sharif now might ask for help from India or Israel and if the third power comes in power, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will be responsible for that.

Suggesting names of HS Phoolka, Jarnail Singh, Bhagwant Mann and Gurpreet Ghuggi, Kejriwal said Capt can choose one of these speakers, time, and place of his choice. Capt had alleged earlier that AAP is worried as new poll shows AAP cannot even get 50 seats whereas it was dreaming of securing 100 seats.
  14. Congress leader Capt Amarinder Singh has said that Navjot Sidhu is welcomed to join Congress. Meanwhile, Sidhu has not informed of any outcome from the recently held meetings to media.
  15. Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal has told media that Akali Dal will announce candidates within two weeks as lists have been finalized. AAP has already done so. Sukhbir has said AAP is making false promises with the people of Punjab and there is no truth that VAT will be lifted as it is being removed and GST is being levied. He also said Congress is also a drowning ship as a lot of Congress members are joining SAD and more will in the coming days.

  17. Talking to media Kejriwal has said Punjab’s chief minister will be from chosen from elected MLAs and he and his wife will not contest Punjab elections.
