1. Finance Minister Bill Morneau is expected to make an important announcement on preventative measures to cool Toronto’s home prices after Vancouver.
2. Taxi industry groups have called for work stoppage in Quebec on Wednesday against their government’s deal with Uber to operate on a pilot project basis saying Uber should be paying same fees as them. The coalition called the front commun des taxi is asking Premier Philippe Couillard to meet them.

4. If found high on drugs, Ontario drivers will temporarily lose their licence like if they are caught for drunk driving. Failing a road-side sobriety test, they will lose licence for three days and also pay a $180 licence reinstatement fee to the province. Spokesperson for the Ontario Provincial Police Highway Safety Division Sgt. Kerry Schmidt has said this gives them more tools to do their job. Before that Ontario Transport Minister Del Duca had said it is never ok to be high and drive as the driver not only endangers his life but that of others as well.

Earlier, Canada’s International Trade Minister Chrystia Freeland met with Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitharaman.
6. Maninder Sandhu, 31 from Brampton was shot dead in Rexdale area over the weekend. Police is still looking for clues.
7. Donald Trump’s team in trying to damage control after a New York Times report said he claimed a loss of $916 million in 1995 and did not pay a billion dollars of income in 18 years. The newspaper received a package from Trump Towers.

10. Though AAP leader Kejriwal has appreciated Modi. Earlier opposition had commended Modi’s efforts as well. However, Kejriwal has asked the government to prove if Pakistan is lying and that strikes took place.

They said it was essential to defeat the Badal government and also will support Dharamvira Gandhi’s front. But they will be contesting the MCD polls.
20. India won New Zealand series at Eden Gardens and has clinched No.1 ranking from Pakistan.
21. In the second ODI, South Africa made 361/6. In reply Australia was all out for 219. South Africa won by 142 runs.
22. In the second ODI, Pakistan won by 59 runs from West Indies. Pakistan made 337/5 in allotted 50 over. In reply West Indies could only score 278/7. Pakistan won the ODI series 2-0. Captain Azhar Ali said the team will continue its winning streak.
23. BCCI chief Anuraag Thakur has said it will be either be Champions Trophy for the Indian team or IPL in 2017 as a gap of 15 days is required between the two. Lodha committee had said both matches could not be held.
