As tensions between Canada, KSA intensify, USA says both countries are its strong allies

USA hopes both countries will resolve their issues through talks

Relations between Canada, KSA got a hit when on Friday Chrystia Freeland tweeted on human rights

She urged KSA to release 2 Canadians – Samar and Raif Badawi

KSA slammed Canada’s demand calling it interference in kingdom’s internal matter

KSA immediately severed all diplomatic ties adding it will not do any trade with Canada

It also called back its diplomat and gave 24 hours to Canadian envoy to leave the kingdom

KSA also ordered its foreign students to leave Canada and seek education somewhere else

Chrystia Freeland during a press conference said Canada will not step back on issue of human rights

At a press conference in Vancouver, she said Canada’s position is comfortable

She said Canadians was a foreign policy that reflects Canadian values

Freeland said Canada has always raised voice for human rights and women

She showed concerns on how civil society campaigners are arrested and activists treated badly

She urged KSA to release Samar Badawi immediately as she was only participating in peaceful protest

Raif Badawi was arrested for speaking against Islam, was punished with lashes also

Analysts says this shows KSA’s aggressive foreign policy and that no criticism against kingdom be tolerated

KSA has said strict action will be taken anything those who are against it

In a new development, Bhagwant Mann said MLAs involved in preparing new structure not doing the right thing

Mann also targeted Sukhpal Singh Khaira and Kanwar Sandhu

Mann said when Khaira was made leader of opposition, he ran to Delhi with bouquet

He said Khaira called move democratic then but now that he is removed, Khaira is calling AAP undemocratic

He also questioned why Kanwar Sandhu insisted for contesting on Kharal seat

Mann said Kharal had volunteers who were working there for long but Kanwar Sandhu asked ticket for this seat

Mann asked how much more autonomy is required when even tickets and party elections are held according to their will

Mann said both Sukhpal Singh Khaira and Kanwar Sandhu should leave party, take autonomy, and contest in elections

Mann was joined by Meet Hayer who was once considered a closer ally of Khaira

Hayer said Khaira launched his son at volunteer convention

Hayer said no volunteer was allowed to speak, only leaders gave speeches

He said Kanwar Sandhu and his colleagues are playing with people’s emotions

Hayer claimed Sandhu had asked Kejriwal to make him leader of opposition, and that he would handle Khaira
