Sukhbir, Harsimrat exhort activists to work for victory
Muktsar: As the SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal and his wife Union minister and Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal are set to contest the parliamentary elections from the Ferozepur and Bathinda seats, respectively, both are holding marathon meetings with the party workers at their residence in Badal village here.
Sukhbir today held meetings with SAD-BJP workers from Balluana, Abohar, Fazilka and Jalalabad, all Assembly constituencies falling in the Ferozepur parliamentary constituency, and appealed to them to gird up their loins. “Though Sukhbir did not declare himself as a candidate, he gave enough hints about his candidature. He boosted the morale of both SAD and BJP workers and asked them to work harder for the elections,” said the BJP’s Abohar MLA Arun Narang, who also attended the meeting.
Harsimrat also held meetings with party workers from her Bathinda parliamentary constituency. She has been following this exercise for the last fortnight and getting the feedback of ground situation, appealing the party workers to work harder and get active on social media.
Former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, too, met some party workers at his residence. “He had gone to some villages in Sarawan Zail in Lambi today and later met party workers at his residence,” said a SAD leader.
