Sukhbir warns officers against ‘framing’ Akalis
Lehragaga: Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal today said his party’s core committee had decided to boycott the two panels formed by the Congress government to probe sacrilege incidents and alleged fake cases during the SAD-BJP rule since both were headed by Congress men.He said they wanted investigation into the sacrilege cases by a sitting Supreme Court judge. Sukhbir and other senior leaders today addressed a “poll khol” rally in Lehragaga.He alleged that the registration of false cases against SAD workers had increased since the formation of the Congress government.“We are preparing a list of officers who are working at the behest of Congress leaders and registering false cases against Akalis. They will have to pay a big price after the formation of our government,” he said.He alleged that the CMwas lying to Punjabis by claiming that 1.6 lakh youth had been given jobs in the last one year, while the truth was that the government was taking credit for campus placements. Party MP Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa and former minister Parminder Dhindsa rued that all development works in Lehragaga had been stopped by the Congress government.Former minister Bikram Majithia said the government gave only one job in the last one year, that too to former Chief Minister Beant Singh’s grandson.
