Summer Camps for Children with Disabilities

Mississauga – Mississauga operates more than 1,400 children’s camps during the summer, focused on creativity, learning, sports and swimming. The City is committed to providing a rewarding and inclusive Summer Camp experience for all children regardless of ability.

Inclusion Facilitator Subsidy Program for Children with Disabilities

As a cost-sharing program, the City will provide individualized Inclusion Facilitators for children with disabilities attending Summer Camps that may need additional support or assistance. The City will cover 50 per cent of the cost, while parents/guardians will cover the remaining 50 per cent. For one week of camp, an Inclusion Facilitator will cost approximately $350.

This program is intended for children (ages 6 to 12) who:

  • have a current physical, developmental and/or learning disability
  • may need additional support at school or at home
  • are presently receiving support services from a community agency
