Teachers accuse ‘godman’ of using abusive language
Moga: Teachers of Geeta Bhawan Public School, being run by a religious trust in Moga city, have alleged that a self-styled godman, chairman of the school trust, uses unparliamentary language against them and threatens them of dismissal.“He has already suspended a woman principal of the school who was working with a missionary zeal on honorary basis for the past 17 years,” they alleged. Signed by 23 women teachers and employees of the school, they submitted a memorandum against “godman” Sehaj Prakash to District Magistrate Dilraj Singh Sandhawalia today and demanded legal action against him. The DM has marked an inquiry into the complaint.Vijay Kumar Sood (76), one of the trustees of the school trust, alleged that the trust-owned properties at Haridwar, Moga and New Delhi worth Rs 1,000 crore had been illegally grabbed by the “godman” by forging the will of late Swami Vedanta Nand, a saint who passed away in 2011. The Geeta Bhawan Trust was founded by Sood’s father six decades ago.A criminal and civil case with regard to the dispute of the trust’s property and administrative management is also pending in judicial courts of the city.Meanwhile, Shamma Nargis, judicial magistrate at Haridwar, had ordered on January 18, 2016, to the SHO of the Kotwali police station, Haridwar, to register an FIR against Swami Sehaj Prakash and his associates for forcibly entering the Pawan Dhaam Ashram, Haridwar (belonging to the Geeta Bhawan Trust) and stealing gold and cash.Sehaj Prakash could not be contacted for comments despite repeated attempts.
