Toronto Police charge 14-year-old in relation to fatal shooting at Scarborough school

The Toronto Police Service has made an arrest in connection with a homicide investigation.

On Monday, February 14, 2022, at 3:03 p.m., the Toronto Police Service received a call for a shooting at David and Mary Thomson Collegiate, at 125 Brockley Drive.

It is alleged that:

– a boy approached an 18-year-old from behind and shot him

– the boy fled the area while chasing another 18-year-old

– he assaulted him and pointed the gun at him

– however, the gun did not fire

– the boy fled the area

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. He has been identified as Jahiem Robinson, 18, of Toronto.

On Monday, February 14, 2022, at 6:54 p.m., a 14-year-old boy, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1. First Degree Murder
2. Attempted Murder

He was scheduled to appear virtually in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 10 a.m., in room 408.
