Trillium Diwali gears up to shine the light on an important cause 

MISSISSAUGA  – On Friday, October 23, more than 1,000 guests will experience a glamorous evening at the 14th annual Trillium Diwali fundraising gala. Deepak International Ltd.’s Hearts & Diamonds presented by TD Bank Group will be hosted at Pearson Convention Center in Brampton.

In honour of the South Asian Festival of Lights, the gala will dazzle guests with spectacular and colourful dance performances for which India is famous. Trillium Diwali, the largest fundraising gala of its kind in Canada, has raised more than $7.2 million for critical projects at Trillium Health Partners in its 13 years. This year, funds will be directed towards the life-saving regional cardiac program at Trillium Health Partners.

6 p.m.

Note to media: event spokespersons/participants will be available onsite for one-on-one interviews between 6 and 7:30 p.m. Interested media are to meet at the media table to schedule an interview or photo. Formal program begins at 7:30 p.m., and the opportunity to tape clips of the program will be provided from 7:30 p.m. through 10 p.m.
