PAKISTAN LAUNCHES GROUND OFFENSIVE AGAINST TALIBAN
Toronto -After the major attack by militants on Karachi Airport earlier this month, Pakistan military started its aerial strikes to flush them out insurgents from North Waziristan’s tribal area bordering Afghanistan, also called the epicenter of terrorism. In an intensified mission, Pakistan military has also launched ground offensive in the locale after evacuating civilians. In the exchange of fire15 terrorists were killed while three soldiers were injured. The government of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is under immense pressure to eradicate militants from the country who have killed over 50,000 people since 2001 and wrecked the country’s economy.
