Fairview Mall Triple Shooting: 21-Year-Old Dead, Police Arrest 2 Suspects

The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public of two arrests made in a homicide investigation.

On Monday, March 20, 2023, at approximately 4:11 p.m., police responded to a shooting at Fairview Mall in the Sheppard Avenue East and Don Mills Road area.

On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, two men were arrested.

Ahmed Mohamad, 25, of Toronto, has been charged with:

  1. Second Degree Murder
  2. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle
  3. Possess Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
  4. Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
  5. Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited  or Restricted Weapon

Samir Mohamed Unoos, 25, of Toronto, has been charged with:

  1. Second Degree Murder
  2. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle
  3. Possess Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
  4. Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
  5. Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited  or Restricted Weapon
  6. Fail to Comply with Release Order

They attended court virtually at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 10 a.m., in room 306.
