The 2023 Osler Open: Etobicoke Invitational golf tournament was a resounding success, raising $195,155 in support of William Osler Health System’s (Osler) Etobicoke General Hospital. On Monday, golf enthusiasts and community supporters came together to tee off for a great cause, showcasing their generosity and commitment to supporting the health care of the community.
The annual tournament, hosted at the picturesque Islington Golf Course, welcomed 144 golfers to a day of friendly competition and camaraderie. From enthusiastic beginners to seasoned pros, each swing carried the weight of their commitment to helping equip Etobicoke General Hospital.
“The Osler Open: Etobicoke Invitational is more than just a golf tournament; it’s a testament to the remarkable impact made when the community rallies behind a shared goal,” said Ken Mayhew, President and CEO, William Osler Health System Foundation. “The funds raised will enhance the facilities and equipment available to our clinical colleagues for their dedicated care and services at Etobicoke General Hospital. We are incredibly grateful for the loyal and generous support of our many sponsors, golfers and donors for being there for all of us at Osler so we can be there for them.”
Funds raised through the Osler Open: Etobicoke Invitational will contribute to purchasing and upgrading vital medical equipment and facility enhancements at Etobicoke General Hospital. This support ensures that the hospital continues to deliver world-class care to the community it serves.
