The event was organized as part of the “Hard Hat Tour” series by the ICCC. Through this series, the ICCC takes members and guests to a manufacturing facility to help them get a first-hand look of how something is made.

During the visit to the Modatek plant, the ICCC delegation was welcomed by Robert Minna, the General Manager of Cosma, the parent company of the Modatek Systems plant, and Dex Battista, the Director of Government Affairs at Magna International. The delegation was led by ICCC President Chirag Shah, Corporate Secretary Prashant Srivastava, Vice-President Membership Mukesh Narula, and, Advisory Board Chair Kam Rathee. The delegation consisted of a mix of members and guests from a variety of backgournds.

The visit began with a briefing about Magna International and Cosma, and an overview of the operations of the Modatek Systems plant. The delegation was then split up into three groups and taken on a tour of the plant. Each tour included stops along the way in designated areas where the tour guide – a senior member of the Cosma leadership team – would brief the visitors on the various processes underway.

The visit ended with the ICCC presenting a small token of thanks to the hosts and a group photo of the delegation with the hosts.

Ms. Pallavi Tomar, a member of the ICCC had the following to say about the event: “The event was impeccable and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the preparation and team work required to prepare one single part of the car. Great effort by ICCC in organising the event.”
