ISIS-K is urging individuals to carry out an attack on the upcoming India-Pakistan T20 World Cup Cricket match in the USA, according to a senior police official. The Police Commissioner of Nassau County, Patrick Ryder, issued a warning, saying the group is encouraging a “Lone Wolf” attack.
“Lone Wolves” are individuals who are either members or supporters of terrorist organizations and act independently, making it harder to track them down. New York Governor Kathy Hochul has instructed the state police to increase security measures, including more law enforcement presence, advanced surveillance, and thorough screening processes.
