Region of Peel– Investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau have charged four individuals in connection to an early morning home invasion in Mississauga where luxury vehicles were targeted.
On October 2, 2024, at approximately 5:00 a.m. multiple suspects forced entry into a home near Ninth Line and Tacc Drive in Mississauga while the residents were sleeping within. Once inside, the suspects demanded the keys to two luxury vehicles parked in the driveway. Fearing for their safety, the victims turned over the keys and the suspects drove away. Fortunately, none of the victims involved sustained any physical injuries as a result of the robbery.
Thanks to the quick response by officers and the coordination between patrol, investigators, Tactical Unit, and K9, the suspects were located a short distance away in Oakville. Following a foot pursuit all four suspects were arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Jordan Tower, an 18-year-old man from Mississauga has been charged with:
- Robbery
- Disguise with Intent
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Possession of Break-in Instruments
- Failing to Comply with Release Order
At the time of his arrest, Jordan Tower was bound by a previous court order stemming from prior charges of Possession of Stolen Property and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.
Jelani Griffith, a 20-year-old male from Brampton has been charged with:
- Robbery
- Disguise with Intent
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Possession of Break-in Instruments
Jordan Stanley, a 20-year-old man from Burlington has been charged with:
- Possession of Stolen Property.
A 17-year-old male youth from Brampton has been charged with:
- Robbery
- Disguise with Intent
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Possession of Break-in Instruments
A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person, and, therefore, the identity of the Young Person charged in this investigation is protected.
Both vehicles were recovered along with a third vehicle that was stolen during a separate carjacking in Toronto on September 26, 2024.
This investigation remains ongoing, and police anticipate more charges could be laid.
