Prime Video and Amazon Canada is #ProudToBe #NotJustForShow during the 2023 Pride Celebrations and kick off their celebrations of Pride by volunteering for Pride Toronto

Prime Video and Amazon Canada employees are #ProudToBe supporting Pride Toronto and the 2SLGBTQI+ community this year and recently provided logistical support to pack donated items for Pride Toronto’s 2023 Community Connect program. On May 17th and 18th, Amazon employees from across Toronto gathered at a sortation centre in Brampton where they packed 6000 care packages with personal care products and other donations. “Glamazon is one of Amazon’s many communities. It centers around the LGBTQ+ community and allies. It’s a community where we are able to connect with like-minded individuals.
We have Pride coming up and Amazon is such a large corporation. It’s important to get back to the community and to be involved in activities like these to show our support” says Liz.

The Community Connect Program is an effort to provide access to Pride Toronto Festival programming and to connect with members of the 2SLGBTQI+ community outside of the downtown core. The program assists in bringing Pride to community members in their own neighborhoods; to help them feel recognized and a part of Pride Toronto’s Festival without having to compromise on safety. This event will be amazing, with performances from Drag Queens, Spoken Word Artists, DJ’s and more at Scarborough, Etobicoke and North Youth.
This is the first of many activities and donations driven by Prime Video and Amazon Canada employees this year. Prime Video has entered into a partnership with Pride Toronto and Fierté Montréal which will help support both parades. We very much appreciate their financial support. They are going above and beyond. They are providing us with not just money but with volunteers and making sure that we can run an impactful, engaging, and fun Pride festival this year: Grant
