Priyanka Gandhi to visit Agartala on April 16, Congress to organise road show

The Tripura unit of the Congress on Friday said its national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will visit Agartala city on April 16 and address a campaign rally in support of the INDIA alliance candidates from the East and West Tripura Lok Sabha seats.

Gandhi’s visit has been scheduled a day before Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Tripura to address a public gathering at the Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala in support of the BJP candidates.

Speaking to the media reporters at the Pradesh Congress Bhawan, Congress Working Committee (CWC) member and former minister Sudip Roy Barman said, “On April 16, Priyanka Gandhi will arrive at the MBB Airport at 2.15 pm and join a road show from the airport till Durga Chowmuhani in the city, covering several locations like old Raj Bhawan, North Gate of the Palace Compound, Haradhan Sangha, Colonel Chowmuhani, Bidurkarta Chowmuhani, South Gate of the Palace Compound, Maharani Tulsibati School and Kaman Chowmuhani. She is likely to address a gathering near Surjya Chowmuhani.”
