Stolen Ford Bronco climbs over police cruiser in Mississauga’s Westwood Square area during Tim Horton’s drive-thru arrest

September 04: A wild scene unfolded at a Tim Hortons drive-thru in Mississauga on Tuesday evening! Peel police were called around 6:30 p.m. about a suspicious vehicle near Westwood Square shopping mall. The driver was suspected of stealing from a store weeks earlier and was reported to have weapons.

Police tracked down the stolen Ford Bronco and tried to box it in. But things quickly escalated. In a video circulating online, the red and black Bronco is seen trying to escape by reversing but realizing it’s surrounded. An officer gets out, gun drawn, and orders the driver to stop.

The driver, however, hits the gas, attempting to drive over a police cruiser! The Bronco ends up partially on top of the cruiser, shattering its front window. The driver then backs off, but the situation isn’t over yet.

With a crowd of onlookers in shock, police use a Taser on the suspect after he crawls out the passenger side window. Officers then tackle him, bringing the chaotic scene to an end.

The 25-year-old driver was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including possession of stolen property, dangerous driving, and obstructing a police officer. He’s now awaiting a bail hearing. Fortunately, no one was hurt in this dramatic encounter.
