Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau have laid charges against a man, after a collision in Brampton that resulted in the death of a woman.
On June 3,2022, at approximately 2:30 p.m., the victims vehicle became involved in a collision with another vehicle within the intersection of Chinguacousy Road and Burt Drive, in the City of Brampton.
The victim, an 87-year-old woman from Brampton, died as a result of her injuries.
On Monday, July 11, 2022, Tajender Sidhu, a 31-year-old man from Brampton was arrested and charged with Dangerous Operation Cause Death and Dangerous Operation Cause Bodily Harm. Tajender Sidhu will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on September 21, 2022, in answer to the charges.
Investigators are appealing for any witnesses who may have witnessed the collision, has information on the collision or anyone that may have dash camera or surveillance footage of the incident, to contact investigators from the Major Collision Bureau at 905-453–2121, extension 3710. None of the allegations have been proven in court.
