Town of Oakville seeks input on its Transportation Master Plan

The Town of Oakville is excited to embark on creating a new, bold vision for the future of transportation with an update to its Transportation Master Plan (TMP). As part of this work, the town is inviting residents to get involved to help shape the future of transportation within the community, that will accommodate growth to 2051.

The TMP will establish a comprehensive multi-modal plan with policies, programs and infrastructure improvements to enhance mobility for all road users, including a focus on more sustainable modes of travel such as walking, cycling and transit, supporting the town’s vision to be a vibrant and livable community for all.

With changing demographics, technological advancements, and environmental considerations, the updated plan will reflect the needs and aspirations of residents and visitors for today and info the future.

At the first Public Information Centre (PIC) on December 7, members of the public can speak with town staff to learn about the TMP study process, key project objectives, challenges and opportunities for Oakville’s transportation network and provide valuable insight to help inform the TMP update.
